ome Thoughts on the Big Questions concerning my Life Expectations.

Why did I Choose to be an Educator?
When I decided to enroll in English as a Foreign Language Teaching program, I knew well that the path would not be easy, I knew also that I could even be questioned, but none of that prevented me from choosing to educate, which I truly think it’s my true vocation. There are three special reasons I would like to share.
1. The opportunity to promote not only knowledge but values. One of the purposes of living is transcending and education leads to this. So educators leave traces in every step they take.
2. Education is not only a way to transform others, educators’ power transform themselves as well. Being into education is a path that never ends, educators need to mediate their learning process in other to get skills and competencies that help learners to construct their knowledge, solve problems independently and understand their thinking processes.
3. Building healthy boundaries between Educators and apprentices. An educator can be closely involved with their learners’ emotions since the classroom becomes a second home for them. As well as knowing deeply learners and understanding their emotions helps to create a warm environment where students trust their teachers in the way they provide comprehensive support.
What do I like the most about your profession?
It’s not a difficult question because I’ve enjoyed each teaching time of my life. I love what I teach, and what I do in my profession every day. There is not such a worthwhile moment when I meet high motivated apprentices willing to learn a target language, It is then when the teaching and learning process flows without leaving aside our performance as ingenious creators of environments that foster not only motivation but also ideal tools for learning a language.
What is the greatest satisfaction I have had as a teacher?
One of the greatest satisfactions in my teaching experience is related to the opportunity of having worked as an English teaching assistant at a multicultural association in the USA. This was my first experience as an ESL teacher assisting immigrant adult communities in overcoming language barriers. I feel so rewarded with this experience because I consider I was able to contribute these people get confidence when using English in an environment that is not their own. So, it was not just about being a facilitator to mediate language, but support apprentices' adaption and integration to a new community, understanding their background and offering them new opportunities to find jobs and integral growth.
What is the sense of being an English teacher?
The aim of being a language teacher is to make communication channels open positively and effectively in their students so that a learner can achieve the goals they have set under teachers' supervision and pedagogical mediation. English teacher profession has become essential nowadays while learning English has become a priority or concern in all social and educational contexts.
